Rock Climbing in Veyo, Utah
Believe it or not, there is an incredible sport climbing resort (yes, resort!) located in Veyo, Utah! Veyo is located about 17 miles outside of St. George, Utah. Crawdad Canyon, located in the Veyo Pool Resort, offers over 180 bolted sport climbing routes ranging in difficulty from 5.6 to 5.13.
It\'s like an indoor climbing gym--only better!
Things You’ll Need:
Climbing equipment: rope, harness, belay device, helmet, shoes
Day use fee ($5.00 per day)
Camping fee (only if you\'re camping)
Step 1:
If you would like to get specific directions or reserve a campsite, please call 1-435-574-2300. The staff will be happy to help you get there! The Veyo Pool Resort and Crawdad Canyon are located about 17 miles north of St. George, Utah off of Route 18.
Step 2:
When you arrive, please pay special attention to the parking signs!
Step 3:
Go to the service window at the Veyo Pool to pay your climbing access fee. There is also a giant board around the corner from the service window that shows all of the climbing areas and the routes.
Step 4:
Find your climbing area and climb on!

Camping is also available, but be sure to reserve your campsite well in advance. They can fill-up quickly.
Be sure to be respectful of the property. The Veyo Pool and Crawdad Canyon are privately owned and rely upon you, the climber, to keep a clean and safe climbing environment.
